Meet Our Window Treatment Experts in Long Island, NY

Meet Our Team

The Owners:

Mark Perel - Owner

Mark has many years of experience in window treatment design, and is very knowledgeable with Hunter Douglas Products, Soft Treatments, Shutters, & Motorization. He first started off working for his father at their family-owned window treatment store located in Nassau County. Mark shadowed his father for 7 years learning the family business in and out before branching off on his own, taking over Homestead Window Treatments, a pre-existing window treatment store in the Huntington area. “My father was a great teacher/mentor who has taught me everything that I know and I am forever grateful for that. I wouldn’t be where I am in life today without him! Now being older and having a business of my own I constantly keep challenging myself to gain a reputation that is unbeatable. Customer Service is extremely important to me and my wife and I strive to provide the most seamless, and care free service you will ever encounter!”

Laura Perel - Owner

“Laura graduated from St. Josephs College with a bachelors degree in education. While still in college, she spent a lot of her time helping out at the showroom. During that time, she developed a love for the business and decided that this was the career path for her! Since then, they have teamed together and made Homestead what it is today! My husband and I make a great team and are very passionate about working hard and watching our business flourish. We are very proud of earning the title of best window treatment store on Long Island for three consecutive years in a row, and it is our goal to maintain that title for many more years to come!”

Isabella Perel - Future CEO

Isabella, aka Izzaboo, is an aspiring CEO of Homestead Window Treatments with lots to learn, but she is up for the challenge! Izzaboo would paint the whole world in yellow because that’s her favorite color. If she was President, the whole world would be pineapple and watermelon-themed, and Frozen would play in the movie theater every day. Her hidden talent is melting the heart of anyone who meets her!

Margi Lovrich - Designer

Margi has been designing window treatments for 18 years. She studied design at Long Island University, and The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. She got her start selling window treatments in 2003 when she called in a local competitor for a quote for blinds and drapery in her living room and dining room. The salesman was the owner, so when he saw her detailed sketch of swags and jabots, he looked around the room, and then offered her a job right there on the spot. She’s been at it ever since, and she still loves what she does! Margi is well-versed in Hunter Douglas and Graber blinds, soft treatments, shutters and motorization.
