04 · Custom Drapery

The category that does the most for a room.

Drapery softens the architecture, dampens sound, frames the view, and, when it's right, makes the rest of the room look like it was always meant to be there. Made in our own workroom, on Long Island, in hundreds of fabrics.

Custom Drapery Panels

Hung tall, weighted, and lined.

Three details separate good drapery from cheap drapery, and we don't compromise on any of them: hung high (to the ceiling, not the window), weighted at the hem, and properly lined. The result reads as architecture, not as fabric.

  • Pinch pleat, ripplefold, goblet, grommet, and rod-pocket headers
  • Cotton, linen, velvet, silk-blend, and performance fabrics
  • Blackout, light-filtering, and interlined options
  • Designer hardware in brass, bronze, nickel, and matte finishes

Valances & Cornices

The finishing touch most rooms forget.

A valance or cornice hides hardware, balances the visual weight of a window wall, and lets you layer drapery beneath. We design custom, build custom, never off-the-rack.

  • Upholstered cornices with welt or contrast trim
  • Soft valances: swag, board-mounted, balloon, kingston
  • Custom dimensions for window seats, transoms, and bay windows
  • Coordinated with drapery, shades, or shutters in the same room
